I think I broke the forum!
Weird! Just after I successfully logged in, everything went weird, my email address became a jumble of letters and I somehow became trasnformed into 'Steve Caplin' (see author of message 'Finally'). I now cannot log in again, even though I created a new user. I thought I'd see if there were any clues on the simpleforum forum, I think I broke that too! I logged in with same name and now seem to be able to edit anyone's messages. |

Damn! Rumbled, I thought if I could adopt your persona, I would also attain your skills! Seriously though, not sure what happened, it was good to have a profile and an identity for that short space of time. |

Just in case you're wondering, Daan (previous post) is the guy who wrote the SimpleForum script that runs this forum. He's sent me a new version of the script which seems to fix the permissions problem - and we've got our smileys back! Hurrah! I think it's really good when you can complain about a piece of software and it gets fixed straight away. |

Aaarg!! I've tried so many different logins, I now can't even use David as a guest. Steve, if it lets you, can you remove the following usernames: Trinity-of-One, TrinityOfOne, David and David Asch I think it might be time to start with a clean slate! |

Make sure that you have your cookies enabled for this forum. This *could* still be a consequence of that bug this forum was having, but after creating a new account there should be no problems. _________________ "Eagles may soar, but weasles don't get sucked into jet engines" |

I have added the site specifically. It's not that it doesn't remember me, if I enter the correct username/password it lets me in but I'm not actually logged in. |

IE6 on Windows XP. Tried it at work and at home, I've managed to log in successfully once but then it all went screwy. It seems OK on your forum though. |
