Evenly Distributing Distance
I know how to evenly line up objects vertically/hortizontally, but is there a quick way in Photoshop CS to evenly space objects? For example if I have 4 objects lined up from left to right across the screen, is there a way to make sure that the distance between each object is equal?

Thank you in advance for your help/input.

There will be with CS2 - Smart guides. You could use the move tool and nudge them with Shift & Cursor keys.

There sure is! Just link the layers together that you want to distribute, and you'll see various buttons for aligning and distributing them in the options bar at the top of the screen.

Briann,

The options bar seems to only align them vertically, horizontally, edge, etc. What I am looking for is a quick way to make sure the distance between each object is equal.

Thanks for the input though!

David - Cool! Look forward to CS2. I'm also hoping that they will fix the brush sizing to where you can adjust the brush size with the keyboard shortcuts AS you're drawing.

Oops, that read as one sentence - the nudge thing can be done in any version of PS, not just CS2

Re: Evenly Distributing Distance
Place one object on the left of the canvas another on the right, then using the method described by Brian, after linking them use the distrubute horizontal centres button , should do the trick
