Challenge 680: St Dominic's finger
We'll stay with the Dominicans for one more week, to show off their most prized possession - the finger of St Dominic, no less. As with all their relics (and they have an extensive collection, including the forearm of St Thomas the apostle and a fragment of Thomas Aquinas), this one's stored in an ornate silver container. Can you find another use for this somewhat bizarre object? Keeping within the boundaries of good taste, of course. (Sorry for the slight lack of focus, I had to photograph it surreptitionaly through glass when no-one was looking.) High res is here. |

I did an animation to go with this but photobucket is being awkward - are there any free gif hosting sites anyone would recommend? _________________ I'm not really bad - I just draw that way |

A very quick one from me, I thought the Trump looked rather nice with diamond earrings - and yes, by Friday I will know if I will be on new medication! It made me laugh anyway. |

Excellent Anna. We used to play Ouija board in our youth, but maybe a different version. I think someone we know .. is talking there.. Hope you recover soon Michael. (Strange fortune I went to pharmacy and they wanted to trial their first live attempts at vaccination skills so they caught me unaware! Not sure made any difference) Concerned for you Deborah. Sorry contact seemed to elapse on my side. I like the earrings. You, others, don't want know what I was thinking of doing to the same subject! You are kind to T I like that approach Emy. Great idea. ...and great work all so far. |

Ant, that is brilliant!! Thank you Josephine and Trevor. The reason the candle looks real is .. it is real . Everything in this animation except the museum image I either photographed, recorded or made myself. _________________ Dorothy: Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore |
