Sorry David. I wasn't going to post this week but when I heard the announcement the image just popped into my head.

Very witty Anna

A lot of work there Michael: very nice! I suppose there must of been a good reason for not removing some of the wrinkles out; after all we don't want to portray Vibeke has a withered old hag do we?

Thanks Michael. I did remove some of the wrinkles. I think I took a few years off her age. What say you Vibeke?

Re: Challenge 682: Vibeke's hat
Lots of really creative entries this week.

Mixamo has several animations for people using cell phones and other touch screen devices. However, none of them are taking pictures, not even selfies. I had to use someone holding a torch - the old-fashioned kind with flames. I hope Vibeke doesn't mind but I tried to get the fuse character to look like her photo, wrinkles and all. Youth is over-rated.

I knew from a previous Challenge to choose an animation that didn't move her head too much. Photoshop severely limits how objects can be transformed. It was tricky to get the hat to move with the character. I wish I had more time to spend on this one.

Re: Challenge 682: Vibeke's hat
The Royal Ascot theme prevailed this week, spurred on by lwc - a fine background, although that logo could perhaps do with a little bending over the T shirt. More fun with the second entry, I think, featuring that great logo in full. Do they really make squid hats?

A charming retro image from Josephine Harvatt, matching Vibeke's hat perfectly. Could her face be a little brighter, do you think, now it's no longer providing shade from the sun?

A great range of hats and, indeed, costumes from Ben Boardman, with Vibeke fitting perfectly in the middle. Now if you can just add a touch of smile...

A witch from michael sinclair, with a rather exsanguinated Vibeke sporting a full witch's costume. I like the way she bends at the waist, but that does make the broom stick rather unfortunately flexible. Good for cleaning round the U bend, perhaps.

Classy work from Ben Mills, who has resisted the temptation to put Vibeke in a bikini and has instead opted for something altogether more sedate. A very elegant look, and good work taking out the red reflection on her chin.

In her own entry, Vibeke steps into Sophia Loren's shoes - and, indeed, her dress - for a glamorous entrance. I get the press corps, not sure what all those downcast soldiers are doing there. But it's a fine dress, and it does go rather well with the hat.

A great new frock from Linda Eckert, one which can compete with the hat - and I really like the way the girl behind is having to pick up stray flowers from it. My only issue here is that Vibeke is so low in the frame, as if she's kneeling down. Oh, and the fact that her arms look as if she's carrying two heavy suitcases!

A fine piece of whimsy from Frank, with a colourful frock and a nicely sympathetic background. She doesn't look very happy about it, though.

Bang up to date, GKB weighs in with a topical entry - marking the engagement of Prince Harry to his girlfriend Meghan. I agree, Vibeke would be an altogether sounder choice of bride, as her Photoshop skills are undoubtably superior to Meghan's.

...and hot on the heels comes DavidMac, with Vibeke photobombing the engagement photo. Those forked hands really make the image work well - clever work.

Vibeke's headworn foliage competes with oriental fruit and veg in Jota120's entry - and indeed, it's a great hat for a fruit seller. But I think I prefer the surrealism of the second entry, which seems to bring out the hat even better.

There's always a deceptive quality to Mariner's work; at first glance, it just looks like a cleaned-up photo. Then you realise he's kept Vibeke's head and arms from the original, and added a new body; then you look closer, and realise what an extraordinary amount of work it must have been to take that hat off and rebuild Vibeke's face and hair. Beautifully done.

A bright garden setting from tooquilos, which has the appearance of a children's TV show set with its explosion of colour. (But remember Steve's Duplication Rule: if you need to duplicate an object, rotate it so it looks a little different.) I like the spinning flowers in the intro to the animated version, and the way Vibeke rises out of the flower stall. I want a T shirt that can do that! A beautifully animated hat, too. Fun.

A seemingly Elizabethan entry from Deborah Morley, with a magnificent costume that sets off the hat beautifully - and an unidentified (at least by me) object that could be a cobra, or an owl, or possibly a garden spade. Very tasteful.

I hugely enjoyed Emy's entry, transplanting the hat to a parrot - the shadow sets it off nicely, and the match with the colourful plumage is just perfect.

A futuristic entry from srawland, who has rebuilt Vibeke and moved her to a rather appealing space travel vehicle. (I'd have liked some glass in the windows, though.) Clever work in the animated version, and you've managed to make that hat move rather well with the figure. Waltz of the Flowers - of course!

A lot of fun this week. Thank you, Vibeke, for allowing us do all this stuff to you!
