Beautifully done Anna!

A suggestion for Steve:

Given the paucity of "participating" members (not actual members), might I suggest the "Two entries only rule" be dropped in favour of "three entries only"; I know Loyd would appreciate it, and he's such a draw with a lot to offer.

Anyway, here's my third animation.

Didn't want to say this too early, but 100% Photoshop seems to be active , doesn't mater, the FC problem is the same.

Well, I do have a few more... perhaps I'll post one tomorrow and make up for the error of my ways by only making one next week.

Decisions, decisions... the shuttle to Brandon is a bit expensive and the jet-pack rental has it's obvious high-risks. However, the portal is free and the odds are relatively good at 8 to 2 for ending up in Brandon and not somewhere else... (?).

Feel embarrassed posting this after all the great moving images, but brain was lacking in ideas...

If England had won against Croatia, the animation would have been different and probably completed sooner. I had to go back and re-work a couple of things. I still didn't get Steve to Brandon. Oh, and I used the same lighting setting for both fuse clips. Not sure why they are so different.

That is absolutely perfect perspective matching Deborah!

Re: Challenge 713: Get me to Brandon
A pre-golf quickie from lwc kicked off this week’s proceedings - with a rather splendid car. Added marks for the number plate. I enjoyed the second entry - particularly the stretchy cords tethering the flyer. But shouldn’t he have a moving shadow? I like the portal in the third entry - but shouldn’t he disappear through it, rather than returning to full size?

An ingenious painted board from DavidMac, the scene neatly matching that behind it. Very clever and painstaking work - it must have taken an age to build a setting that matches the roofs of the existing buildings. Artfully done.

A novel way of breaking down the wall from michael sinclair - I like the way you’ve given the tank treads a sense of movement. More off-topic with the second entry, but good to see your Roman soldiers back. Is it just me, or do they all look constipated? A fine military specimen in the third entry, although I find his shadow rather unconvincing. And wouldn’t it be better if he carried on walking out of shot, rather than fading away? Oh - and of course, Michael, submit as many entries as you like. Within reason.

A splendidly blasted hole from tooquilos, with excellent rubble. Good idea to replace the entire scene behind the wall. A terrific title sequence to the animated version, with some fine scenes of impassible roads and a really funny satnav map. And what a magnificent explosion as the trick breaks through the wall!

A cartoon reference from Ant Snell, with Wile E Coyote trying once again to trap Road Runner. A very cartoony hole in the road, and great matching of perspective with the road painted on the fence. Very cute - and I like the added helicopter.

Simplicity often wins out, as Deborah Morley’s neat set of stairs shows. Very nicely fitted in. I’d add a support beneath the platform the woman is standing on, though, otherwise you’re going to need some serious underground supports at the foot of the stairs to make the cantilever work.

A cleverly patched block of houses from Jota120, fitting in well with the style of the originals. Curious as to why you chose a dark road surface, though, rather than repurposing the existing one.

James Bond’s Aston Martin from srawland - nicely positioned, although I would query whether it’s wise for a spy to have a personalised vanity plate. A fun animated version, with both the wall and the clouds rolling back to reveal Trump Baby. I’m intrigued, though: how would you have done it differently if England had beaten Croatia?

Thanks Steve.
Excuse, the surface is darker because freshly laid tarmac, true, but if hadn't needed to dash-out I would have toned it down to be more sympathetic with the rest of the scene.
Maybe the Motown ha, ha...

Thanks Steve. It was quite challenging. I still don't feel I made it look 'painted' enough.

Thanks Steve, I always look forward to your critique... and anyone else's should they feel inclined.

Ah... the car. I have a fondness for all cars Morgan.

My bad! The lack of the moving shadow is just an oversight.

Returning him to full size was just my way of restarting the loop.

Thank you, Steve. I was going to have it open up to an idyllic English village scene with the World Cup trophy rising from the horizon. I was even going to modify some light flairs so the trophy looked like it had a halo around it.

Steve, I wasn't sure what you meant by "unconvincing shadow", as the shadow is not always crisp and well-defined; but anyway, here's a sharper rendition. It is important to get one's shadows right.

I don't know about now but back when I was a youngster I believe the Morgan four wheeler (Roadster I think it was called) had a chassis made of elm. A friend of mine drove one and I can remember that it was a nightmare in the swiftly changing english weather as getting the rain roof on involved a complicated ritual of stretching the cover over hoops and fixing with press studs.

Yes, the chassis was wooden... The TV show "Wheeler Dealers" reworked a Morgan +4 (for the most part, same as roadster) with a new chassis and plywood floor panels in 2012. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morgan_%2B4 The roof is indeed a challenge when rushed.
