Anna, I suspect that you got the beach bag legit... I had to shoplift mine!

Nice touch with the 'peekaboos'.

Yep..that’s us collaborating and bouncing ideas off each other on how we can turn this concept into a lucrative business hahaha

Well, I failed miserably with my goal of only posting one entry this week and for that I apologize, but this one makes me smile every time I look at it... I hope it does the same for you.

I remember english seaside holidays like that.

The joys of stumbling barefoot in the rain on a shingle beach. When I was little my parents seemed to have an almost infallible ability to find them ..... !

Thank you Josephine, have a look at the dog in the night scene. Being much smaller than the elephant, his breathing is not so noticeable.

Re: Challenge 714: Vacant deckchairs
I have run out of time (early appointment with the dentist), so this is not up to my usual standard (rushed).

please note that I have used the original deck chairs!

Please forgive me Michael if am mistaken - but I think, with one possible exception, we all have.

Some fabulous and FUNNY entries.

Its a bit of a rush job. I would have liked to make the mask for the water animate, but I didn't have time.

A big thank you to my friend, Tony, for the voiceover.

Re: Challenge 714: Vacant deckchairs
When I photographed these deckchairs I noticed that the left hand one was leaning over somewhat - which didn’t matter, as long as it was empty. I assumed that you’d all straighten them up before putting someone in there. No-one did. Here’s how they should have been rotated:

First to dip toes in the water this week was GKB, with a glorious multi-selfie - beautifully done, a really entertaining image. Perhaps a slight shadow needed on the back of the chairs?

A glamorous scene from lwc - and I see you and Gordon share the same taste in beach bags. The girls are, of course, rather too big for the chairs; and if you’re going to hang that pink bag from the deckchair, you need to straighten those handles. A fine evening version in the second entry, with your trademark subtlety of animation: the sparks from the fire, the flickering light on the girls’ arms, and the insects buzzing around the candle are all excellent. And that third entry is hilarious - funniest thing I’ve seen for weeks. The breathing, the tail, the flapping ear - beautiful.

I was wondering how someone would squeeze Trump in there - but DavidMac's Trump Baby is an ingenious choice, and I like how he’s wedged in there. Perhaps the woman should be holding a pin, rather than just thinking about one? I like the reworked second entry; but I really don’t think that’s a comfortable way to be sitting in a deckchair.

A very fine animation from michael sinclair, with the second deckchair blowing off convincingly - and I like the turn of the head that accompanies it. But you really need to rotate that occupied deckchair at least 5 degrees clockwise! I enjoyed the second entry, but I’m a little confused about the pair of dolphins: I can see how the large one could conceivably be jumping into the water that close to the deck, but surely the smaller one should enter the water much further back in the distance? Also, (a) the perspective on the chessboard is too strong for its distance in the scene; and (b) rotate Trump’s deckchair!

Trump baby again, from Josephine Harvatt - and I was going to compliment you on the shadows on the deckchairs when I noticed these are, in fact, not the same deckchairs. Although full marks for getting the style and angle right. Did you nip down and photograph them?

A jaunty scene from tooquilos, with that bag again. I like the sign, especially. A terrific cobweb-filled attic in the animated version, and the reverse view of the beach (although if I were being pedantic, I’d point out that these planes fly over the sea, which people are facing, rather than behind them over the land). Love the way Josephine pops her head out from behind the beach hut. And the animated final scene is beautifully done.

I really enjoyed Ant Snell’s rain-soaked scene, with the man sheltering under the umbrella. Now that’s beach holidays as I remember them! Very nicely achieved.

Very neatly filled deckchairs from Jota120, with not a trace of weirdness. Great shading, a perfect view of the occupants. Nice one.

A deeply tanned couple from srawland, and the bald one really should be wearing a sun hat. If I were them, I’d move the cocktail table in front where I could reach it. A really funny animated version - the timing, sound and movement are all perfect. Love that rolling sea! Very fine stuff.

Thanks Steve.
This was a frustrating apart from finishing it off with the shading. (You should see the other versions). Some weirdness would have soothed the process, but had to go, .. timedout ....

In both cases the woman is not simply 'the woman' - it's Mrs Trump. I think Melania can fantasise about pins but maybe not actually wield them.

And thank you Steve.
