Challenge 728: The fifth plinth
Nine years ago we had a Challenge to fill the empty fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square.

Wandering through London I came across another square with a plinth lacking its occupant. Can you suggest something suitably monumental?

High res is here.

Ah yes, I remember doing that one, but the image seems to have disappeared. Some old friends there too, Marty, Sophie, Lonnie K and Brewell - is it really that long ago??

Looks like Russell Square - is that correct?

I had fun watching it!

I worked with Jerry & Sylivia and their crew for a few days many moons ago. Lovely people. Great fun.

Very Dali-esque David.

Yes it is. But strangely that aspect was quite unconscious ... I just wanted to melt the man.

Nice one Gordon - but aren't you mixing universes a bit? I just hope Kirk was able to get Princess Penelope off the Death Star before it blew up

Hello to you Steve and to all my HotChiPs friends. I'm so glad I was still able to log in. Even more glad to see that the wonderful challenges are still going strong.

I have only very recently started using Photoshop again but mostly to correct my photography errors. Not sure if I could still rise to a Friday challenge but will certainly enjoy popping in and seeing what you have all been up to.

Good to see you Sophie, do join in again.
Damien Hirst had this statue erected on Ilfracombe harbour - not quite sure what Ilfracombe had done to deserve that, or maybe he had belatedly just watched Alien...
