Just be careful when choosing an item from the "ugly veg" bin...

On closer inspection your photo looks like something known here as 'ugly veg'. Some supermarkets put all the veggies that don't quite live up their standards of perfection in an 'ugly veg' bin. All mixed up together. They are sold cheaply rather than being thrown out. It's a very good idea. You can buy a bent or crooked cucumber for half the price of a straight one.

Bit like politicians ...........

Precisely

Margaret Thatcher is having dinner with her cabinet in a fancy restaurant and orders steak for herself "And what about the vegetables?" asks the waiter "Oh they will have steak too"

Love this. It's a totally 'portable' joke that can be tailored to all sorts of situations.

Hmmm. Set me thinking .......

Day-dreaming of his own roadside vegi stand, Maurice is having more difficulties in dealing with the ever-increasing rodent population, not to mention the all too frequent power outages...

See right here in Reader's Gallery - "Lampooning our ghastly government"

Thank you so much for this idea.

His dream now realized, Maurice is forced to come to terms with a different but just as frustrating pest problem.

Now that is beautifully done.

I'm not overly thrilled with my offerings this week. Been bed ridden with the flu which means motivation is very low and temperature is very high

Hope you are over it soon.

Sorry if this is a rude question, but did you model those veg yourself or can you get ready made cabbage models?

Great fun!

Thanks David & Anna...

bummer on the flu Anna... I really like the different scenes and the "Dancing Queen" is 'right on the money'!

As an aside, one of my cable TV channels has shown a couple of old movies with Carmen Miranda just in the past couple of weeks... talk about "over the top".

Re: Challenge 770: Spiced peppers - Trilogy epilogue
Too many pests... Maurice closes his roadside stand, takes his old job back and finds that covert sales of specialty items from his own greenhouse can prove to be quite lucrative.

The rats and mice, occasionally sampling the 'specialty items' (mushroom-pepper hybrids), have 'tripped out' and now live in their own rodent nightmare world.

Josephine - I offer my apologies for such a blatant theft of your hallucinogenic idea, but I was overcome by an irresistible impulse.

Re: Challenge 770: Spiced peppers
Thank you all for the well wishes. Feel almost human today. First time in about a week.

David, the fruit and veggies were pre made obj's but the basket I made myself in Cinema 4D.

Frank that is excellent! Well done.

I love the particles Loyd. All I see in that one - is sitting in a middle eastern restaurant, eating moussaka and baba ganoush and smoking on a hookah - then feeling absolutely sure that the purple Dumbo, flying around, is real!

Somehow I just couldn't see a vast market out there for off the peg 3D cabbages .......

Always entertaining to see what everyone is doing and have been doing. You never disappoint.

Glad all are well, including you Anna. Flu's over. Time to embrace summer....lol

My ship hasn't started yet so had a little time on my hands. Just a little.

Nice banner Loyd. I was mesmerized by your little bird for quite a while before signing in.
