Challenge 771: Air apparent
There's a small park outside the casino in the French seaside town of Pontaillac, which has a cycle path running through it. Thoughtfully, the local authorities have provided an air pump for these two-wheeled visitors. Sadly, the pump is broken. Can you show me how it might have been operated? Or suggest another use for this curious example of street furniture? High res is here. |

Seems your attracting attention Steve. There's someone in the background photographing you. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Well, if it is, it would seem to imply things about Steve that we never knew .............. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Of course! By devilish cunning French engineering ....... the air drives the beam which drives the air pump ...... _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 771: Air apparent
I was more focused on where the air was going. Don't worry Steve, there's no evidence. Cell phones weren't invented yet. Pity, otherwise there would have been more pictures of Marilyn...lol Anyway, my ship's in...and it's not the kind that means I don't have to work. Unfortunately. _________________ The grass is greener on the other side of the fence because there is more $hit there. |

Re: Challenge 771: Air apparent
Thanks Loyd. Always a back hand somewhere. Pity the quality is so bad. The original is quite enjoyable to study. Lovely motion in your clip there Loyd. Lovely construction David. Is that with sketchup? What happened to to your weight lifter....lol. Oh, okay...just have to think of the brief and what happens with to much exertion...on a bad day. _________________ The grass is greener on the other side of the fence because there is more $hit there. |

Re: Challenge 771: Air apparent
That's a lovely image of yours Dennis. I love the period vehicles in the back. The boy is perfectly posed and the idea is just great! Yes I used Sketchup because it's so good for modelling in the context of a 2D picture by vanishing point analysis. But of course it doesn't render in photo real quality. That I have to do by hand in Photoshop. Which is why, given the time constraints, this is very basic in this particular image. There are some really good third party renderers for Sketchup but I don't do enough 3D to justify the price. The weight lifter is just as I found her. To the best of my knowledge she is quite genuine! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 771: Air apparent
Long time since I heard Fifth Dimension! When Trump came back at the end I was eagerly awaiting deflation into a soggy wrinkled mess accompanied by suitable sound effects. (guess ) But jokes and completely unreasonable animation requests aside this is beautifully done Gordon. I love the way you take him across the background behind everything. There's a lot of work hidden in there. And I never thought of the htchip anagram. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |
