Challenge 782: A rococo desk
I visited the splendid Gulbenkian Collection in Lisbon recently. Among the fine artworks I found this truly magnificent desk. Who might own a desk like this? And what might they store in those interesting compartments? High res is here. |

All that furniture has a very French look, but I will have to do the research. |

Trickier than it looks. Not much headroom. Even seated the owners head is going to be leaving frame ......... ........... although I believe Napolean was quite small. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

On further study that's a very nasty perspective you've given us to deal with there Steve. A challenge within a challenge ........ _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 782: A rococo desk
That's all part of the fun, David. I am going to change the canvas size to 1500x1125px. That gives me some headroom. |

I assumed you'd move the desk to a different room. |

Re: Challenge 782: A rococo desk
I have ....... but the perspective is still problematical. As my Jamaican mother in law used to say: 'Man 'pon galloping horse won' notice.". Sadly, of course, you will! Only way to justify anything as crass and obvious as this entry is to be first out of the gate. But you did ask "Who might own this desk?". _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Thanks Michael! I actually had semi-forgotten about this forum until yesterday, I haven't used Photoshop (for anything more than cropping a pic) in a few years, it'll be fun to get back into it again! _________________ We made a promise we swore we'd always remember, No retreat no surrender |

Re: Challenge 782: A rococo desk
I had no idea how to tackle this one so decided to incorporate an earlier Friday challenge I was too busy to participate in. To make matters worse how does one animate a desk? http://vimeo.com/373901464 |
