What a great idea Michael (Mariner)

Very tardis-esque!

It seems Photobucket has not bothered with Eastern Australia or Nova Scotia. I will contact them: they are slowly getting back to normal

Anna and Frank you have mail (private message), and great work by the way both of you.

I also like Sara's entry this week: very neat

Re: Challenge 788: Electrifying
First to treat the substation this week was Ant Snell, with a splendid beach shower. I like the detail - the sign, the man in his deckchair, and the woman filming him on her phone. Watch those perspectives, though; and do check the lighting on the woman walking in the shadow.

An extraordinary reconstruction from Mariner, who has seemingly rebuilt the entire building - with a redesigned mast as well. I don’t know how you made the leap from there to Meghan Markle’s earrings, but it’s an entertaining concept. One thing about the statues, though: it’s always an issue when they all face the camera.

A very graphic entry from Josephine Harvatt, using multiple symmetries. I like how the shape of the steps forms the fancy diamonds in the middle column. (Oh, and I wondered about “tardise-esque” as an adjective. I think my preferred option would be “tardish”.)

I tried to view michael sinclair’s entry, but it’s not showing up - and when I try to open it in a new window I get a “bad gateway” message. Michael, this must be very frustrating for you. Isn’t there an alternative solution? Edit: It has sporadically shown up. A splendid transformation into a rather nifty sandcastle, and I like the kite behind it. Perspective, though; raise it up and it will be perfect.

I like how tooquilos has inverted the side walls to turn them into lit windows - a simple but effective technique. Not sure the path from the door should be veering off at an angle like that - shouldn’t it project at right angles from the door itself? A fun lettering effect in the animated version, and the handheld walk through the woods is effective - better, perhaps, if the colour of the light matched that of the substation. The recreation of the interior is splendid - so that’s how the universe started!

Good placement on the mountainside from Frank, and the woman riding the, er, pterodactyl (I think) is magnificent. I think the placement of the seagull detracts a little from the composition; and the substation might fit in a lot better if you give it a couple of degrees anticlockwise rotation, and darken the walls to match the building behind:

A glorious beach hut from srawland, with beautiful recolouring of the upper part. I do have an issue with the painting of the Union Jack on the hut next door - the diagonal red stripes are wrong - but I suspect that was them rather than you.

Thank you Steve. You are right about the mismatched light. Even though I used the colour picker to get the right shade of blue but by the time I had applied colour correction and a couple of adjustment layers the colour changed and it wasn't till you pointed it out that I noticed it.

Re: Challenge 788: Electrifying
Thanks Steve, I moved the seagull trying various compositions and contemplated leaving it out but finally decided to let it stay. I also contemplated darkening the building but in the end lightened it a bit to represent the momentary glare from the of the lightening flash.

Re: Challenge 788: Electrifying
Thank you, Steve. You are correct. Here is the original beach hut row.

Delhi, Varanasi, Agra, Ranthambore, Agra, Jaipur, Kochin, Mumbai.

Looking forward to three days photographing tigers in Ranthambore and lots of infrared photography all over the place.

Haven’t been to Varanasi before ... should be an ‘experience’. Sylvia’s first time in India ... should be an ‘experience’
