Actually, you know, that's a really sophisticated montage. From the shading on the books (they fit perfectly in that suitcase) to the out of focus Focal logo, everything's a perfect fit. I've just had another look and I'm knocked out by the skill you've shown here. Faultless. I'll treasure it! Steve |

Thanks Steve, I'm glad you like it (and didn't sue me  ). It was originally going to be similar to the 'Frankenstein' case study from the book and just spiraled from there.
It was a very tricky montage, as I had real problems with source images - you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find a good picture of the Trotter's van, I had to 'weld' 2 vans together in the end. 'Del Caplin' is 5 seperate composites (I scanned your picture from the inside cover and cleaned up the printing artifacts) and had to join 2 coats together as the original was cut off at the waist. The 'suitcase' is actually an old jewellery presentation box I photographed and stretched a little. I recreated the Focal logo from the banner on their site and stuck it to the awning of Hove town hall (where I work). It was fun making it, I learned a lot and used a lot of techniques from the book. _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |
