What a really good lunch it was today. For me it was a pleasure to see the new faces of Josephine H, Ant Snell and David Asch together with many of the 'old' faces. There was much laughter and banter and a Skype call with Anna (tooquilos) in the early hours of her morning. Brilliant! Thanks. Ted |

What an excellent lunch it was and it was great to see the old faces as well as some new ones. And Nick managed to find 10 minutes away from his daily toils to pop in and say hullo. The Eggbox/GKB double act is still good fun although we didn't have him lying in the gutter for a photograph this time 
We missed seeing Angela, Michael, Vern and Eva which made us sad 
But we met Ant and Josephine which made us all happy again 
We had a long chat on Skype with Tooquilos who sat up till dark o'clock waiting for our call to the antipodes (I still find it amazing that we can make a 20 minute video call on an iPod Touch to the other side of the planet and it doesn't cost!)
There are tentative ideas afoot for another do in the summer should Vibeke get over here ... watch this space

It was so lovely being able to see, have a chat and share a laugh with everyone last night. It was the next best thing to being in the same room!! Thank you Steve and Gordon for organising it.  Sophie and Nick, Im sorry we didn't meet up this time round.
I totally agree Gordon, its a mind blowing ability to be able to talk and see someone on the other side of the planet and all from the palm of your hand..of course all for free!! Glad you had a good time. I was very sorry to have missed it. A summer meet sounds promising. (Time to save up!) Longer daylight hours means we do a bit of sightseeing too. And another 'thank you' Steve and Gordon for your good choice. I'm sad though that Sergeant Plod and his merry men kept me from making it to the pub in time to talk to you Anna. I was trapped on a train at London Bridge - so near and yet so far! But great to meet you Josephine and see David again. Hopefully there will be more of us next time. |

Here are some photos. I am not sure they will work as do not normally link this way to photos. There are duplicates, the later ones give some identity to faces , but not their personalities Everyone friendly, and we have plenty to talk about............... from latest gizmos, to Art, sculpture, flying, and just life, which is not bad considering our diverse backgrounds and we do not meet often .....

Very good to meet up with you all on Wednesday and put some faces to names or should I say names to avatars. I have just arrived home after a long drive back and an unplanned stopover in Newbury.
