For information..
I just received a spoof Paypal email, claiming that they are upgrading the servers (as is the subject), so be careful.

I viewed the source and the link goes to Taiwan.

I have informed Paypal.

Re: For information..
There was an item on the news last week about some guy who'd been sent a spoof email apparently from the Dutch government telling him he'd won a quarter of a million euros in a lottery, and asking for £400 as a processing fee. He paid it, and got more demands for fees and licence payments for all kinds. In the end he paid out over £30,000 to the scammers.

Just how stupid can people get?

Re: For information..
It's a very old and dated internet scam that has been revised and now they are phoning people up as well as posting out letters. It started out as the Nigeria Businessman email scam as Trinity said and as they say "There's one born every minute, and they all have internet access!"

Oh don`t get me started on those low life net cons. What really annoys me is when they say that they are dying of cancer. I was stupid enough to give one of the African scammers my phone number, he wanted me to call him back and also insisted I send him £500 to get this rolling, after a few choice words he hung up
