trying to pick up hints
This forum works really well for me because you refer regularily to the book. I am not sure if I would get the same info, sans book, but I wondered if there were other websites you would recommend for PS beginners? I have joined an online training site too - it covers several software programs including PS. I am using PS 7.02 We horsey folk don't have much spare time so I am a slow learner. BTW, the Friday challenge has put a whole new slant on booting up on Friday morning. |

Re: trying to pick up hints
It all depends on what aspect of Photoshop you want to learn. Here at Steve's site we practice Photomonaging and related techniques, some other websites may do arty effects, or Poster Design, or website design. Photoshop is a pretty multipurpose design tool but you could be stretched a little thinly if you try to tackle it all at once. I will have a looky around the internet and post some links when I have a bit more time. Becky _________________ mad as a badger and twice as furry |

Re: trying to pick up hints
I think Photomontaging is a must - it seems almost a waste to have PS and not learn enough to have fun with that. However, I am really interested to see what people use the program for and how they do it - mostly "how they do it". It's a huge program to learn to navigate. I thought I was doing just great till I got on here ![]() |

It is a huge program and while people can become experts in their particular field of interest I doubt there are many that are Total Photoshop experts. You will pick things up that are relevant to you and we are always helpful if you ask for help, I thought I had learnt a lot but I still have a lot to learn however I do have a lot that I can share which I do so often.
