I got the book!
Finally, I got Steve's third edition. I'm the proud owner of all three, and this edition is my favorite of all three. I can't believe Steve reveals his techniques and trade secrets. I now have a new source to glom ideas. |

congrats Neal..... it's a great book..... and at least now we know who to blame if any of our work improves over the coming weeks and months... it's all Steve's fault for being too good a teacher and giving us all them trade secrets.... but hey!.... I won't tell if you don't?   |

My 9-year old son started playing the tutorial clips and loves the instructions. Now, he want's to read the book. We may have a new member soon. |

Funnily enough, while I was writing the first edition I suddenly thought hang on a minute, here I am giving everything away! I toyed with the idea of putting a deliberate mistake in each tutorial but couldn't do it. Then I sat down and turned on the TV, and there was Jamie Oliver doing his stuff. Made me think: he may write all these books, but he still cooks, doesn't he. |

That's a fair point David .. the other thing is ... If you are following one of Jamie's recipes and it's all gone a bit pear-shaped you can't contact him and ask him ... "Where the hell did I go wrong?!!!!!" ... I only wish I could ... I did think at the time that Anchovies and Chocolate must have been a misprint!  |

whats more dont think Jamies books give you masks or a step backward option?
Mind I do seem to manage to warp some of his recipies. |

I have always been amazed that Steve gives away his techniques to everyone, and remember emailing some years ago and being suprised by all the information he gave me, and how helpful he was. At first I didnt understand, but now I can see that once youve reached a certain level, (ie Jamie Oliver etc) you really dont need to worry about it, its nice that all the tricks Steve has discovered are now accessible to everyone
