Got advice for new users?
New guy on the block!
Love the new book, couldn't put it down, and I don't even have Photoshop yet. Anyway, in the meantime, any advice on the best way to learn such a complex program without wondering where do I begin before I become overwhelmed? Patience is not my greatest strength.

Thank you in advance!
Steve

Not an easy question to reply to. Personally, I would say experiment. Don't try to read volume upon volume of photoshop literature before starting. Don't try to learn every aspect of the program, you probably won't use all of its features. Give yourself a project; maybe one of the challenges here or one from the book.

Welcome to the forum, Steve. Don't be afraid to ask questions and have fun!

Pick a task or project and learn how to do that before moving on. Do not try to grasp the whole thing at once. Learning the program is an ever evolving process.
