Trouble Finding Home
Things didn't work out at the Newspaper. Administrative problems with pay and such. They wanted me at a payscale equivelant to a person flipping hamburgers. (No offense to anyone, that was actually my first job at 15) Gotta love Corporate America!

Freelance is great, but my real love and passion for professional work is Photoshop. And I would like to pursue a career in that field. I must be looking in all the wrong places, because I haven't been able to find an industry that would need a fulltime Photomontage designer. Where should I look? I seem to be in the dark for that matter.

That's a real shame, Chris. As I've said before, getting into a publishing environment is the first step: you need to prove what you can do when you're in there.

Once you're in a newspaper or magazine environment, you have access to the equipment, people who need Photoshop work done, and - above all - a regular amount of printed material that needs filling. Yes, it may take a while before your skills are noticed, but if you're good then they will be. Don't expect to dive into a top-notch PS editing job straight away!

I suppose I'm really urging you to reconsider, or try a similar job elsewhere. Unless you're really desperate to earn big bucks straight away, I think it's worth swallowing your pride for a few months in order to prove what you can do, to people who will be interested.
