Thanks, Partick! Incidentally, I notice there was a post yesterday from someone named Thistle. You two really should get together!

I think that will only make sense to people who watched World of Sport in the 70s.

East Fife 4 - Forfar 5.....

Stenhousemuir v Dumbarton.....match postponed.

Re: HTCIPS CS4
I read somewhere in this forum Steve's comment about the take-up of CS4 not being as good as hoped. Is this due to the 'credit crunch' or does it not have enough new features to tempt buyers?

As it is an expensive item to upgrade what are its 'must have' features to tempt my purchase?

Re: HTCIPS CS4
There are plenty of excellent features in Photoshop CS4. For those who opt for the Extended edition, the 3D import is hugely improved - not just bringing in existing 3D models, but creating 3D artwork from scratch inside Photoshop using bump maps.

The Context Aware Scaling feature is excellent, once you figure out how to get the best out of it. I've been using it a lot more than I expected, as it works particularly well on cutout objects: being able to make things longer or shorter without obvious distortion is a great advantage.

The revised interface, with its Adjustment Layer panels, works very well: they're now very much easier to work with. And the new Layer Mask panel includes auto masking based on colour selection, as well as the ability to use Refine Edge dialog to tighten, adjust and blur masks - excellent stuff.

Plus lots of other goodies - I particularly like being able to change the size of the brush by dragging, rather than choosing from a palette or using keys to step through different sizes. The ability to rotate the canvas you're working on is surprisingly useful when painting or tracing fiddly areas, too.

It's a great update, Ted!

Oops sorry for the delay. Thanks for the response Steve, I'll take a closer look at PSCS4.
