Steve Live Again
RetouchPro
I'm pleased to announce our first returning guest artist to RetouchPRO LIVE, Steve Caplin. The turnout and feedback for Steve's first live event was just amazing, and we've put together an all-new live show. This time, Steve will show us how to control and exploit perspective in photomontages using Photoshop CS4. And, of course, he'll answer your questions along the way:
From Steve:
"I plan to work on four images. The first will be an entirely "hand worked" perspective composition. The second will be a demonstration of how to use the scale and rotation features in the Clone Panel to clone in perspective. The third will be an introduction to Vanishing Point, showing how it works and demonstrating its basic effects. The fourth will be a more complex scene that requires more careful thought in order to make it work, also using Vanishing Point. If there's time, I'll also talk about making 3D models in Vanishing Point."
Wednesday, July 1, 2009 2PM CDT (see details page for other time zones)

Re: Steve Live Again
Beat me to it, Vibeke! I was just about to announce the same thing.

These "webinars" are turning out to be an interesting experience, and are the closest thing to a live lecture that we can reasonably get online. The way it works is that attendees can see my monitor, full screen, while I talk through the processes involved. Anyone can ask questions of Doug, the moderator, and he'll pass the more interesting ones on to me.

This one's all about perspective, which as you know is one of those Photoshop areas that I really think everyone needs to master. It's at 2pm Chicago time, which is 8pm in the UK and still rather too early in the morning in Australia and New Zealand. Just to repeat that date:

Wednesday, July 1 at 2pm CDT / 8pm BST

Hope to see some of you online!

You have to be quick around here, I'll get up before 5 am again. I know they will probably resend at a 'reasonable' hour, but I will most likely be sitting in the sun in Fiji then.

Re: Steve Live Again
OK, folks, just a day away now. I'd be really grateful if those of you who post on other forums could give a plug for the event - it would really help me (and Doug) out this time around.

Details are here:

Thanks!

Steve

Re: Steve Live Again
Despite the technical difficulties and Steve randomly becoming a Dalek, it was an excellent show. I look forward to the next one!

Re: Steve Live Again
Steve, thank you for a great and informative Webinar. Im just sad that i missed the last 40 minutes or so due to the techninal issues. I waited to hear from Doug but after an hour I figured it was over anyway. Im looking forward to the next one.

As of today, Ive understood the Vanishing Filter. Its always been a perplexing mystery to me and now its very clear..so thank you so much for that!!

The headphones looked really good by the way!!

Re: Steve Live Again
I enjoyed what I saw, and was sad to miss the end. Like Anna I was waiting for Doug to get back to us. Never mind, I more more than got my $10.00 worth.
Must practise the Vanishing filter. Once again I was impressed by what a good presenter Steve is. I was glued to the screen, and wasn't at all tempted to do something else at the same time (unusual for me)
Earphone were a real fashion statement!

Re: Steve Live Again
Ah... those embarrassing two sets of headphones! One for the microphone, the other underneath to hear Doug Nelson talking to me (for some bizarre reason his voice comes out two octaves too high in the white set). I must find a better solution!

Glad you enjoyed the show - we covered some useful stuff, I think. Sorry about the stupid technical hitch.
