Tablet
Hello everybody, I have A4 (wide) Genius tablet but it seems that the format A4 is too big and I am not satisfied with it. What experience You have. Steve was talking at live show that he is using A6, is not that format too small? Can you help me what tablet is good for our work? I am thinking about a Wacon A5 (wide). Please, could you send your opinions what works good for you. Thank you. Emil _________________ For me the creative process is more one of discovery than creation. - James Lee Burke |

Re: Tablet
I find A6 just right for me. Takes up very little desk space, no huge arm movements. I use a 23 inch monitor, and the A6 is plenty big enough. Depends on what you're used to, though - I understand some may prefer a larger device. |

Re: Tablet
Hello Emil, I also use an A5 Wacom tablet and am very happy with it. The only thing I find really strange is when I move the tablet from my desk top to my laptop. It takes some minutes for it not to feel peculiar. Don't know if its my brain having to adapt to different screen size or what! |

I cant help but I have feel it is small space for very fine work. _________________ The most beatiful thing we can experience is mysterious. Re: Tablet
No expert on relative merits of tablets apart from what I've read and : I just have A6 WACOM. Maybe I'd prefer A5 for my painterly stuff. The A6 defintion, features, sensitivity, quality are more than I ever expected. I just zoom/scale in and out on the screen for the scale wish to work at. Plus fro A6; it is compatible in size with my laptop when travelling. Works well with both laptop and desktop. |

Re: Tablet
I've never had any problems with the size, either on my laptop or my desktop, even for very fine work. I like the fact that you don't end up having to make huge, sweeping arm movements. But then, as I said, it depends on what you're used to: after the A4 you'll find it extremely small, at least initially. |

Thank you Steve, I decided for format A6. I am fond of Wacom Intuos4 S. It is a little expensive tham Wacom Bamboo type but is recommended for our work. What type do you have Steve if you can say it? It is my last qestion. _________________ There are most happy who have no story to tell. - Anthony Trollope. |

Re: Tablet
I use a Wacom Graphire at my desk, and a Bamboo for taking to lectures - only because it's white and it matches my MacBook! |

Re: Tablet
I finally received my Wacom Intuos 4S (A6) today. I made last friday challenge by it and must say this format is enough. Thank you all for your help. _________________ I have the true feeling of myself only when I am unbearably unhappy. - Franz Kafka |

Re: Tablet
I used to have a really old GTCO A3 tablet many years ago. It was a stupidly large thing. I have a tiny Graphire now and it's easily big enough for anything. If I needed to trace anything large then I'm stuck, but I've not needed to yet. |

Re: Tablet
What I would like to ask anyone with a tablet. Is drawing skill paramount? I'm not best with my figers and not so nimble. Can I still use a tablet more effectively than a mouse? |

Re: Tablet
I have arthritis in my fingers and find a tablet much easier than a mouse (and less painful). |

Re: Tablet
I have a Bamboo Fun tablet which is A6 I believe and makes shading and drawing so much easier than a mouse. |

Re: Tablet
When I use pen tool I still use mouse. Just me/my-hand. I feel I have more control over the pen points, handles and selections. For painting and drawing , the tablet is far better & essential, , even with default setting, it make this much easier and natural. |
