Direct Link from Email?
I was just wondering if I was doing something wrong. When ever I get notified that there has been a response to one of the threads on the forum and I click on the link. Instead of going directly to the specific message that the link was attached to, I am taken to the first message in the group. I then have to plough through all the messages until I arrive at the message that sent the link in the first place. This is not such a chore if there aren't many messages in that particular thread, but if for example it is the Friday Challenge, I have to keep going through each page until I arrive at the message I clicked on. Is there not a way whereby, when I click on the message link in the email, I can be taken directly to that message? Many thanks _________________ Mark Goodwin If you do what you have always done, you'll get what you've always got! |

Hmm. Not sure there is. The developer of this forum software hasn't released any updates for two years now, and I think he's lost interest. I'm afraid you may be stuck with this method. Still, it gives you the chance to admire all those wonderful Friday Challenge entries again, right? |

Mark, if you think about it, it does say 'subscribe to this topic', not message. cheers Vibeke _________________ Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize. |

Re: Direct Link from Email?
Yes thanks guys. Not having a moan... as such .. just making sure I wasn't missing a trick and being a plonker! And yes, it does give me the opportunity to view the FC's time after time, after time, so it can be really rubbed in how much I don't know!! Only joking of course, the work is absolutely inspirational, and I feel privileged to be able to share in the wealth of knowledge and expertise that is on this forum. Thanks again _________________ Mark Goodwin If you do what you have always done, you'll get what you've always got! |
