Marty Guyer
I've just received this message regarding Marty (known here as mguyer):

I am Marty Guyer's daughter, Alisa. My mother received the holiday card that you sent and we appreciate your thinking of him. Unfortunately, he passed away in mid-November. I know that your Friday challenge was a great source of fun for him. Alisa

Marty was a valued and respected member of this forum, and his wit and enthusiasm was always entertaining. Marty frequently included images of both himself and his wife, Sheila, in his montages, and had a tremendous sense of fun and mischief.

He will be greatly missed.

What a sad new....

I can't tell it in english...

Re: Marty Guyer
Marty's contribution to this forum will be missed immensely by all of us, but more importantly he leaves a wife and family and I know our thoughts are with them. Marty obviously derived considerable pleasure from his wildlife photography and the images he produced were truly inspiring. God bless you Marty and thanks for sharing so much with us.

I sent a link to this page to Sheila and Alisa. Here's the reply:

Steve,
Thank you for sharing the wonderful comments from The Friday Challenge group. Marty really looked forward to the challenge and appreciated the opportunity to interact with other photographers. I enjoyed seeing what the others submitted as well as Marty’s. It is a very talented group.
Sheila Guyer

Thanks to all of you for your tributes.
