Re: cs5?
Adobe has not published a release date, but the general feeling is 2nd quarter 2010, possibly April.

Re: cs5?
It is entirely possible that Adobe may update its leading photo editing application at some time in the future. That's the only comment I can make at this stage!

Re: cs5?
No, April 12 is just the announcement, when details of what's going in CS5 will be released. It won't be on sale for a while - it isn’t finished yet.

I see. So I'll have a month or so to convince my boss that there is something new in CS5 that will make me more productive

Re: cs5?
Not sure if this is help to anyone, but if you are running CS3 (like me) we are now in the Post Announcement upgrade period for CS5. So theoretically you can buy a CS4 upgrade now and then get a upgrade to CS5 for free. On the Master collection this has saved me about £250 (if it all works).
If you are thinking about doing this please read:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/153/tn_15304.html
and the FAQ here:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/195/tn_19582.html
as I don't want to be blamed if it doesn't work. You could also check with any reseller etc. for a guarantee (which is what I've done)

Re: cs5?
This will be the first time I've jumped in early to upgrade. A couple of days ago, I pre-ordered CS5. Adobe informed me that it should be shipped out by mid, or late, May. As most of you already know, CS5 has lots and lots of new time saving features in both Photoshop as well as Camera Raw. Really looking forward to it all.
