The 400th Friday Challenge
Well, it's approaching fast - just two weeks to go at the time of writing this. And having done specials for the 50th, 100th, 200th and 300th, I'm running out of ideas for this big event.

Anyone care to suggest a suitable theme?

Re: The 400th Friday Challenge
401 seems very interesting, if start from zero its the same.

401 prime number, tetranacci number, sum of seven consecutive primes (43 + 47 + 53 + 59 + 61 + 67 + 71), sum of nine consecutive primes (29 + 31 + 37 + 41 + 43 + 47 + 53 + 59 + 61), Chen prime, Eisenstein prime with no imaginary part, Mertens function returns 0, member of the Mian–Chowla sequence. Also HTTP status code for an unauthorized request, area code for Rhode Island, also in the name of a retirement plan, 401(k). Stephen Colbert's Formula 401, a "man seed" based product brand his persona on The Colbert Report promotes for sale to the public [1].

Sorry, about as useful as rotten kipper in your rucksack, but I will think more about it, not the kipper

Re: The 400th Friday Challenge
I have no idea what he just said.. Well the Earth is 454 million years old.. or maybe you could use that in a year or so.. 454th friday challenge sometime in May 2013?.. A quick google search discovers that it is the 400th anniversary of the King James bible ? http://www.royalmint.com/discover/royalty/king-james-bible

or The Vaticans secret archive turns 400 this year? http://www.romereports.com/palio/vatican's-secret-archives-turns-400-years-old-english-5959.html

My final suggestion The Pendle Witch trials a date of 27th April 1612 is marked here http://www.bellawitch.com/Pendle%20Witches.htm

... the kipper was a "red herring" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_herring
(Kippers are smoked herrings, and very tasty too..., I love them, especially Manx)

I'm glad the other parts were interesting Steve.

Artwel some of the other stuff is ok, prime numbers are very important in our tech age .....

I think whoever helps is fine Artwel has some good ideas. Maybe "400" is not such a good number, so 401 fits better?? ,, the day after ..

Re: The 400th Friday Challenge
This is all fascinating stuff, but I don't see how to turn it into a Friday Challenge! Will keep thinking...

Re: The 400th Friday Challenge
Maybe provide us a selection of stock images you used throughout the series of book covers and see what we come up with? Maybe a CS6 book cover concept theme for fun?

Or, perhaps a selection of past Friday challenge images or stock images and we montage them into something for the 400

Re: The 400th Friday Challenge
Thinking of the prime link, what about a Miss Jean Brodie scene?

Scotland, tweeds, 50s, stuffed animals...

Then again, you have probably decided already Steve

Re: The 400th Friday Challenge
I like Chris's idea about the book cover.

Or, how about we set you a challenge? We could all send send you an image (could be theme related) and see what you come up with? We then provide some feedback on a Friday morning. You could then use the montage for the book cover. Just a thought??

Nick

Re: The 400th Friday Challenge
Great ideas, everyone. I also like the book cover idea, but the only problem with doing it now is that I've already done the CS6 book cover, of course, but am unable to show it to you yet because of legal restrictions to do with Adobe's NDA (I know, I know, it's idiotic, but there it is).

I think Artwel may have got the best idea, though.
