Two new Photoshop filters
Two new filters have been made available for CS6, straight from the Adobe labs. Download them here:

http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/interpolate/

They're an interesting pair. Match Edges blends a cutout into the background, rather like the Patch tool but as a one-shot. It's very effective, as can be seen in this before and after:

The second is Interpolate, which blends cutouts so the edge colours fill the whole canvas area. Again, here's a before and after:

I've been playing around with these for a couple of days, and have found they're capable of very strong results. I'll be interested to see what effects you can come up with.

I note that you mention these are for CS6. I pretty certain the answer is 'no' but will they work with CS5? I would be particularly interested in the first, 'match edges', filter.

I've been playing with the match edges filter, and I love it!

Re: Two new Photoshop filters
One of the quickest images I have ever had a play at.
Used match edges on the model, then duplicated the background layer, placed in front of the model layer, again used match edges and set it to Hard Light, then masked out in places.

Re: Two new Photoshop filters
That's most impressive! It is a good filter, isn't it.
