For sale Intuos Pro Large drawing tablet
A little over a year ago I replaced my old Wacom XL Intuos 2 with a new matte black Intuos Pro Large. However, despite the new tablet being the bees knees, I discovered, over a period of time, that with very large twin displays I really missed the extra large drawing surface of the old XL and, unable to afford a shiny new XL, have gone back to my old Intuos 2. Thus my Intuos Pro Large is now no longer needed. It is the latest generation of tablets with the programmable express keys on the side and the pop up on screen radial menu. It can distinguish between pen and fingers on the tablet surface and accepts both pen input and finger gestures like a trackpad. The tablet size on your desktop is 487mm x 318mm x 12 mm ( 19.2 x 12.5 x 5 3 ) and the active drawing area is 325mm x 203mm ( 12.8 x 8 ). You can find the full specs here. The only difference is that mine is not cordless - the tablet requires a single USB cable (supplied). It has had over a year of fairly continuous use and the top surface and drawing surface are no longer pristine and show the marks of normal wear and tear. It is in perfect working condition and comes with the standard pen with pen holder containing ten spare tips in three different varieties. ![]() I will warn you honestly that large drawing surfaces are not for everyone. Steve tells me he uses a small A6 with a 27 display. It all comes down to whether you prefer to work with small wrist movements or larger arm movements. I prefer the latter. Its all a matter of personal preference. I think the larger surface is particularly attractive if you use twin displays. I would infinitely prefer that this goes at a modest price to an enthusiast who will really appreciate it than simply put it to highest bidder on eBay. Steve has kindly given me his permission to offer it here privately. I have decided to let go here among fellow members for 150 (£120 approx, 205$ approx) plus shipping costs. if you look at the price on the link above, I think I can safely say this a is a gift. Until I have packed and weighed it I cannot give precise shipping costs but, according to the Belgian Post web site UK, France, Germany, Holland will be around 20; Rest of EEC and USA around 30; Eastern Europe around 35; and rest of the world 45. Within the EEC there are no customs or taxes to pay. Elsewhere you should probably expect to have to pay duty and/or sales tax on arrival - its up to you to check! If I receive an offer I will pack it and take it to the post office and provide an exact quote so that payment can be made. If it turns out too expensive you can always back down before paying. Obviously this going to be most attractive to those in the EEC. I think the only way to do this is first come first served. So the first reply to this post will secure it. If for any reason they back out it will go to the next. Thank you Steve for allowing me to do this here. I do hope one of our members will benefit. ![]() |

Re: For sale Intuos Pro Large drawing tablet
37 views and no takers. I am surprised I thought it would be snapped up! Ironically it turns out for the best. Yesterday my Intuos2 died completely. I don't think it will be worth the costs of repairing. Anyway, for now at least, I am back with The Pro. So the offer no longer stands .... at least until I know exactly what's wrong. Sorry 'bout that ....... ![]() |

Hi David, I would have snapped it up if it had been small or possibly even medium sized tablet but the large is just too big for my meagre desktop setup. I have been using a Wacom Bamboo for years and have had the Pro series on on my wishlist for a while. I am pleased to hear that it is now acting as a necessary backup to your other faulty tablet. Best wishes Vern _________________ "Why so serious?" The Dark Knight |

Re: For sale Intuos Pro Large drawing tablet
I travel with an early Bamboo for my laptop. It's a surprisingly versatile little tablet. I shan't be bothering to update it until it gives up. I tried one of the new large Cintique's at a comic strip (sorry graphic novel) exhibition recently. Strangely I didn't like it. I am so used to using a separate tablet that is is second nature. I found the only difference was that with the Cintique my hand is partly obscuring the screen whereas with the separate tablet I have a completely unobscured view. I really prefer it. ![]() |
