Heads and Bodies Section?
I don't know exactly where to post so I'll try here too. In this section you give a lot of info but in matching skintones you say how to match the color but what if the color is not the only problem? For instance, I'm using 2 grayscale source pics for head and body and the head fit great but it's an older man head and a young man body so the skin on body is smooth & flawless while the head & neck are not, it has freckled skin. So how would we go about matching that skintone with the body? |

Hmm. Not an easy one. One way might be to make a pattern from some clear skin on the head - the forehead, perhaps - then use that on a new layer, perhaps set to Hard Light mode, to add texture to the body. But realistically, I don't think this approach is really going to work. So you've got two options. The best solution would be to find an old body, which may be tricky. If you can't do that, we're left with just one option: to turn the young body into an old one. I'd recommend making a new Hard Light layer, filled with grey/gray. Group it with the body layer and then use Dodge and Burn to paint lines and wrinkles on the body. Make another Hard Light layer, and use a large brush set to Dissolve, at a very low opacity, to paint freckles - the lower the opacity, the fewer dots will be created in this mode. Blur that layer to get the freckled effect. Rating: Phew! Difficult! |
