Another excellent volume
well done in producing another cracker of a book, for a long time I was never comfortable with the 'quick mask' issue, after reading your second book, quick mask is now my preferred method of selection. Most every day at my own work - photograph restoration - I am asked to remove people from various backgrounds, and I always found it tricky, not any more Steve. As they say at home - 'fair play to you, you boy' for another good book

Well, thanks, Robert - kind words indeed. I know what you mean about QuickMask. I felt after the first edition was published that it was an area I'd rather skimmed over, and it deserved much more attention. I'm hoping the sections on such awkward features as Unsharp Mask and the Curves dialog will also help to clear up some thorny issues!

I particularly enjoyed your explanation of the Shadows & Highlights filter it's now lifted the veil upon this extremely useful tool.

Your book is now my top book - even better than my Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Studio Techniques - ByBen Willmore which is another useful book and my Photoshop Most Wanted 2 by Colin Smith & Al Ward of Friends of Ed - so you can see I hold you in high regard.

Keep up the good work.
