Good Reading Material
In the How to use this book section you mention you doubt if any readers will diligently work their way through the book. When I first bought the book I thumbed through and selectively pulled out what I needed at the moment, then watched the videos, which are really very good. My mother has been sick off and on since November and was recently hospitalized again. I took your book to the hospital with me and have started reading from the beginning. I am very glad I did as I have discovered answers to questions I didn't even know I had. I now know how to fix the grass under my little fox so it looks as though it is sitting amongst the grass, rather than in front of the grass. That is something that bothered me at the time, but wasn't quite sure how to fix it. Now, thanks to your book I will be able to go back and correct that little problem. Even if I can't do the work throughs right now, I am still learning a great deal by just reading. I like how you use a building block system of learning, increasing the knowledge as you progress along. I am enjoying watching the past 2 challenges take shape and look forward to my mother getting healthy again so I can jump back in and learn some more. The bottles are looking great! |

Thanks for your generous comments, I really appreciate it. Shortly after the book was first published I watched someone browse through it at a book stall. He started with the index, worked through every page of the book backwards, then put it back on the shelf. What was that all about? Hope all is well with you and yours, Shirley. Steve |

Re: Good Reading Material
I have to put my hands up and say I do that from time to time, I'll leaf through a book to see if there is anything that whets my appetite to learn more. I didn't have to look very long at your book to know it was worth every penny, but there are a few out there that fail to meet my personal grade. I have been caught out many-a-time and just bought a book on inpulse only to find that I've already learnt better ways of doing the same things or that the tutorials are great but not in a practical everyday montaging way. There is always the possibility that this man may have come back another day when he had a bit more disposalable income. I know I like to window shop for books even when I'm skint. _________________ mad as a badger and twice as furry |

Re: Good Reading Material
Actually, this site convinced me to buy your book, very good selling feature. Never even had the opportunity to hold it in my hands, or do any manual browsing front-to-back, or back-to-front. Just bought it online. The quality of work generated by those who had read the book is what showed me your book was what I was looking for. Generally speaking, if I am looking for a how-to book in a bookstore, I like to check out the index to see if it covers things I don't know how to do, then thumb through and see if I care for the writing style. If I do a good look through and then put it back, then I already know the contents or it is way over my head and I need to learn more before making that investment. |

The back to front part is because its easier to flick through a book that way than forwards ... try it out and see what I mean ![]() Wendy |

Surely if you start from the back and work your way through, you will begin with a completed image and end up with the components ![]() _________________ A happy-go-lucky chap, always dressed in black |

Try flicking forward if you're left handed - looks bizarre !! _________________ most of the lack of sunshine in our lives is caused by us standing in our own shadow |

I am left-handed, also of hebrew descent: which probably explains why I read magazines back to front ![]() _________________ A happy-go-lucky chap, always dressed in black |
