The new EyeCandy plugin is brilliant!
Yeah.. at risk of sounding like some kind of online salesman, I really have to recommend this plugin to everybody. It has 3 new filter plugins over the originals, and some of the originals like chrome have been improved. I'm not very good at explaining them... but you might want to check out the official website here: http://www.alienskin.com/ec5i/ec5i_examples.html Click on a picture to see more examples. |

That does look good. A lot of them can be achieved is PS but things like extrude could be useful. _________________ A happy-go-lucky chap, always dressed in black |

Oh yes, without a doubt they'd all be possible to pull off in Photoshop with a bit of work. But it's the time saving element that makes it so useful. |

Just reviewed it for MacUser, and EyeCandy: Impact is absolutely stunning. Best of all is the Chrome filter, which has had a massive update - it can now reflect any image you want, and has the option of surface texture such as pits and scratches. Also check out the Motion Blur, which is really fantastic. I don't often recommend PS plug-ins wholeheartedly, but this one really is excellent! |

Looking at some of the effects they are pretty stunning and would save a great deal of time, the Motion Trail itself is extremely useful for Photomontagers. However, there is a certain degree of fun to be had exploring how to do these techniques by yourself and great deal of satisfaction in knowing that you created an image from scratch rather than falling back on a plugin no matter how useful that plugin is. We have all commented on Eye Candy fire, how easy it is to spot and that Photoshop fire created from scratch is far more realistic. Let's us not lose the old ways in our search for one click photomontaging (she says rubbing two sticks together to start her breakfast) ![]() _________________ mad as a badger and twice as furry |
