Hi, I just got your book and I'm very impressed. I think it's an awesome book, especially the illustrations are good and helpful. There is one thing I would like to suggest for the next edition of "How to cheat in Photoshop". As I went over the pages I couldn't find a tutorial that shows how to change the head of a WOMAN. I think that's pretty difficult because of the long hair. Happy New Year, Moritz |

Re: women
In the maybe two times I've changed the head of a woman, I changed the face only and left the original hair because I was too lazy deal with it. ![]() _________________ I'm still using 6.0 |

Re: women
Moritz, That's a very good point. The hair thing is tricky, certainly: removing someone's hair from their clothes is muchg harder than taking it out of a plain background. However, the up side is that when you put hair back on top of other clothes, there's usually enough confusion of texture and pattern to hide any small errors. The Smudge tool really comes into its own here, but if you find that doesn't look realistic enough you can always copy chunks of hair from the side of the head, where it's easier to take the background out, and place them over the clothing. Takes a but of effort, but it can be done! Glad you like the book otherwise - and welcome to the forum Steve |
