How do I..?
In some postings I have noticed the white box surrounding italicised text indicating all or part of a quote. How do I do that?

With the advised restriction of 'no more than two images per challenge' I wondered about withdrawing an image once it has been posted for -say- modification, completely new idea or 'just read the book to see how it is done properly'! How do I do that?

BTW its nothing to do with this weeks challenge entry because I know why Whistlers old mum is laughing!

PS: How can you have fewer viewings of a post than replies?

Ted

Quoting is simple: Just surround the text with [ quote ] [ /quote ] without the spaces.

It's not that easy to replace an image. You can't upload one with the same name. However, I think the restriction is on different entries, rather than revisions. It's sometimes good to go back and see how it was improved.

Re: How do I..?
The limitation was partly a question of saving my bandwidth, and partly a response to a trend some months back of a few people sending in half a dozen rushed entries. These days, I have more bandwidth - but the constraint now is the time it takes me to write up my closing remarks! If you want to post more than two entries, Ted, you're of course welcome to do so, since I know you put a lot of work into them. The two-entry limit was more of a suggestion than a hard and fast rule.

The white box surrounding quotes comes from hitting the Reply button under the name of the author of a previous post, rather than typing in the box at the bottom.

As far as the image goes... if you're linking to an image you've uploaded to a different site... say your website/blog site, like I ended up doing with mine... it's just a matter of uploading the new image there, then hitting edit on your post here and inserting the new link info where the old existed...
