How far would you go to get Steve's Book?
Well all I can tell you is that I went on a 13 hour 360 mile trip from Canada across the border into the US and then to Duluth, Minnesota to the Miller Hill Mall there and for the first time entered a Barnes & Noble Bookstore and first I found Issue #20 of Adanced PhotoShop which I have an image in , part of the Peer Pressure column.

But then I goto the PhotoShop Book section find Steve's book and walk out with it and not the magazine my artwork was featured in.

Thats ok the same mag will show up here in Canada in about 3 weeks.

What? Another Canadian in the forum? I got my copy of HTCIP in Chapters, in Montreal. Now I will look for your issue of Advanced PhotoShop...

Well we were going on a trip there anyways. But the idea of getting my copy of AP was in my head and then I thought about Steve's Book and well now you know the rest of the story.

Pierre Chapters didn't have it in stock.

Snowdog, I'll have to watch for that. I just picked up the current issue from Chapters and it was issue 18. I was amazed to see the next one should have already been out but I guess it takes a while to get from England.

I'm in Canada too but I don't buy my books in chapters, I order on line from them or Amazon. Not only is it cheaper, but rarely do they have want I want in stock at the stores.

Hi Pauline

I get the local Chapters to hold them for me and then they send an Email when it comes in. Its a new service they are offering.

Another Canadian! ... and then there were three

well that's good SnowDog, but for me Chapters is an hour drive away so it's hit and miss.

Where abouts are you located? I'm North of Toronto. "Raffy" is also from Canada, so there are 4 of us.

4 of us We are taking over!!! ( shhhh don't tell Steve about our plan to kidnap him and bring him over to Canada )

I am in Thunder Bay, the plant I work at Bombardier makes all the
Bi-Level GO cars for that area aswell as the Subway, and Streetcars
for Toronto. I do all the electrical / electronic testing on them, aswell as testdrive them.

So I am about 500 miles away near the tip of Lake Superior.

Hey! I am in Sherbrooke, Quebec. I used to be in Montreal (that explains the Chapters, but now I "Amazon" too). Guess where my wife was working in Montreal? Bombarider Aeorospace! I work for Bombardier Recreational product! And I was part of the team who designed the New Jersey Transit By-level cars for Bombardier 3 years ago!

Small world, even for the biggest country on the planet!

Hi Steve

The GO part of it stands for Goverment of Ontario ( Canada )

Bi-Level is another term for double-decker like your London Buses.

Check out Micheal's thread here and you will see some pictures of them. In the thread I put up a picture of the New Mexico car we built for New Mexico City and in the last thread I wrote I published some links to other versions of the car. The Green and White ones are the GO cars for the Toronto area.

Got it! Very pretty they are, too. Look like they've been pre-photoshoppped!
