Book Cover for HTCIP technique question
Hi Steve,

I was thumbing through your book this morning, and I was trying to identify the techniques you used to create the "water waves" on the cover. I'm curious if that was acheived with dodge and burn or if some other techique was used?

Thanks,
Chris

Re: Book Cover for HTCIP technique question
Very straightforward, actually: I drew some random squiggles on a new layer, and applied the ZigZag filter to it. As you know, Zigzag creates ripples, unlike the Ripple filter, which creates bumps. If only there were a bump filter to create zigzags we'd come full circle.
