Re: Conversion
Hi Sam, You can convert your Tiff to JPEGS directly in Photoshop. If you have multiple images, the quickest way is to use the [Image Processor] feature found in File > [Scripts] > [Image Processor]. There, you can have Photoshop automatically convert them for you, as well as designate a separate folder for the images to be saved in as a copy...retaining the original Tiff's. Also, if you need to apply the same effect/settings to all images, open one Tiff...and create an action that makes the necessary adjustments. Save the action, and in the [Image Processor] menu, choose the action you wish to apply to all the images. The action capability is especially handy when adding transparent Copyright symbols to all images in a folder. (Just be sure to save as a copy, though! Unless you save as a multilayered PSD or TIFF file.) Hope this helps, Chris |

Re: Conversion
Actually, I made a mistake. The tool to use in Photoshop is not Batch, but Image Processor. ![]() --Chris |

Re: Conversion
I'm not sure why Photoshop wouldn't open the Tiff for you. What program created the .Tiff file? If it was created in some other design software, double check your settings when you save the .tiff file. There may be an option that is checked which causes the program to write the file in a specific .tiff format/code. That could be what's causing Photoshop's problems. Also, sometimes files are not downloaded correctly if it happened to come via email attachment... |

Re: Conversion
Hi Chris.I think I had worked on the photo in either Paint.Net Serif or Paint Shop I do jump about a bit .I must consentrate more before I hit the save or save as button. The tiff in question still will not open in CS2 so I can not use the Image Processor.Never mind it all adds to the learning curve. Regards, Sam |
