JPG format
Hi,
i read that everytime you open a file saved in JPG format, edit it and save in the same format, the image looses quality.
is that true?
iīve done that for a long time and didnīt realise...i guess the solution would be to work with TIFF or PSD but those formats tend to have a big size...

Re: JPG format
Yes, that is true: the jpeg format is lossy, unlike TIFF or PSD. That's partly why it's so small. If you resave a file in this format too many times, you'll see it forming into large squares.

When you're still working on a file, save it as a PSD. Only save as a JPG when you've finished!

Re: JPG format
If you haven't noticed the degradation then, clearly, it's imperceptible!
