Steve - Ebay is ripping your work off !
was just browsing ebay a while ago and came acrosss a couple of people selling Steves latest book in PDF digital download for around a fiver a time. Cant imagine thats within the remit of copywrite somehow, or am i wrong there ? anyways heres one of the links (i sent the guy a message telling him i new steve and did he have permission for this....he hasnt responded  )

That's just plain wrong! the seller should be reported to Ebay to have it removed. |

Hi maiden well thats what i thought.... but upon looking into it a little further alot of the sellers seem to have a 'get out clause', they all seem to be saying they are selling software picked up within the 'public domain' whatever that means legally. So it would seem if somehow a product has found its way onto some sort of public arena then its a free for all. Still i imagine in the eyes of the law and in most other ways its totally out of order all the same. So i have taken a chance and flagged it for ebay to follow up. Although having been an 'ebayer' for a while now it would seem as though more often than not ebay themselves tend to turn a blind eye at this sort of thing. whats your thoughts steve ? Johnny |

i thought i was correct in that you ceratinly had not given your permission for this. I have informed ebay of the second link also, flagging it as fraudulent (i believe that whats it is), have to see what ebay have to say about it. just thought i would bring it to your attention as i know if i had taken the time to write a book i wouldnt want anyone else profiting from it, especially in such an underhanded way.
