I know there are loads of sites out there that offer free font downloads but which ones do people recomend?

I am lookiing for grungy type ones.

Also, how do I install them so I can use them with CS6?

Thanks as always,

Re: fonts
Dafont is a great starting point, with a huge range of fonts categorised by type - and they have a great section on eroded and distorted fonts.

Any fonts installed in your system will be available in CS6. If you're using a Mac just double-click the font files and they'll install themselves; don't know about Windows.

Graham,

This will probably help, better than me trying to explain.

Note a lot of Dafont files to download are in zip files so, as you know, will most likely need to unzip first before getting installed in Windows fonts folder.

Re: fonts
You can probably skip my last comment. Much quicker method:

All you need to do is download. When downloaded, click on the file in downloaded window and then just select "Install". Done. Straight into your fonts file and accessible from fonts drop down menu e.g. from PS when writing text.

(Some people put their fonts in different folders to better manage them. This method will just put it straight into overall fonts options).

Re: fonts
There's a way to use fonts without installing them in Windows. It is portable and free:
