Steve's Google Earth Pro suggestion
Friday Challenge 854 had Steve asking us to lay siege to the US Embassy in London. When I told my wife what i had done she was horrified and expected the CIA and the FBI to come knocking on our door with both of us being extradited to Guantanamo.

Steve suggested using Google Earth PRO (freebie download) to generate a vide for my spaceship flyover rather than use the sereies of still images that appeared in my video. I had forgotten that I had this facility available to me so I tried it out to see how it would look.

Once I got the hang of it and figured out the various hoops I had to jump through to produce the video it all seems pretty good. There are definitely issues with artefacts and if you get too close to buildings parts of them suddenly become transparent but other than that I think you might be seeing more of this from me.

The video below just shows a test sequence for illustration using Google Earth PRO, Cinema and Hit Film.

Now I have to figure out how to rotate the camera around a particular object.

Re: Steve's Google Earth Pro suggestion
I have to confess I really don't like the very disturbing way the background keeps 'rebuilding' itself. It pulls my attention so much that it becomes totally distracting. I presume this is what you mean by artefacts.

Not your fault of course. But, unless it can be resolved, the footage is to my eye not really usable.

It’s likely that if I increased the altitude of the camera all those artefacts will at least be reduced. Further experimentation required.
