I'm downloading now to see what gives ......... I'm an old dog and kind of married to Photoshop which is why in the end, excellent though it is, I eventually stopped using Affinity a couple of years and went back to PS. It's a bit like comfortable old shoes ........... _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

It looks promising. They keep pushing out updates every couple of days, though I can't really tell what is updated. I also don't know much about vibe coding. When it gets to a point where you can install plugins, I want to see if my old Eye Candy plugin works. It still sort of works in Affinity. |

For those who haven't looked it's a suite of thirteen major apps covering everything photo and design, audio visual including film and animation, publishing induing word processing and layout plus spread sheets, and a bit more. It's far too much to check out but I have taken look at the Photoshop equivalent and, withe exception of a few icons, it's exactly like Photoshop but (I think) without AI. As far as I can see each app is designed to be a clone of its commercial counterpart so migration is easy. I'm going to play but I think I will not be changing as I am now a bit set in my ways. For students on a budget this would be just amazing! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |
