Re: Simple problem...well..for you! ![]() Glosrfc, I don't know what's going wrong but follow these steps on a new blank image, exactly as written and it should work for you. rufus ![]() Correction: 4. should read "Complete typing and deselect paths". |

Re: Simple problem...well..for you! ![]() Thanks for putting that together - at least I know I'm not doing anything really silly here! Steps 1 and 2 are fine - the path is highlighted and so it's active. Step 3 - no new path appears. I get a new text layer, but no type path. I've gone through the PS7 help file and the only reference it makes to a type path is how to create one from existing text. All that does is outline the text though. Looks like I'll have to stick with importing text effects for now. Thanks again. |

Re: Simple problem...well..for you! ![]() Sorry it didn't work, from a quick look on the web it looks like it's a PS7 issue. Apparently text/path interaction wasn't introduced until CS. |

Re: Simple problem...well..for you! ![]() I still have PS 7 on an old computer, so I tried it there. When the text tool is selected in PS7, the path is removed from the screen and from the path list. I tried several other ways, but could not get the path to constrain the text like it does in CS2. Sorry folks, but it appears this is a CS2 feature. ![]() |
