I'm OK 'till step #5. Can you amplify a little on how to accomplish those steps? How do I create a mask layer, drawn by pen tool and then combine with copy of the blurred front? Thanks |

Bob, having looked at the tutorial in question (Steve, correct me if I'm wrong), the term 'mask' does not refer to an actual layer mask, more a layer in the same shape as the unwanted reflection in the lid. draw a path that follows the cresent shape, press CTRL+Enter to create a selection, then CTRL+J to create a new layer from that selection. The next step is to make a copy of the 'false front' layer from step 3, place it above the layer you just created and group them (CTRL+G), this will only show the part of that layer that intersects with your lid shape.
