Lasso and Magic Wand
On the fence panels, once I try and pick the horizontal posts, I am told "no pixels were selected" - what am I doing wrong? I'm fairly new to this! Thanks |

Tracy, The only reason I can think it would do that, is if you had created a blank layer and were attempting to selct on that, rather than the background. _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |

Actually, ignore that! It will be down to how you are making the subsequent selections, after making the initial one. You are most likely pressing shift and then alt before clicking the mouse, this has the effect of trying to create an intersection. You need to press shift, then click the point, then hold alt. That should work fine. What this actually does, is temporarily switches to Polyganal Lasso whislt the ALT key is held down. It works in reverse if you are already using the Polyganal tool. A good demonstration of this can be seen in the video tutorial for Visible Light. You'll see it switch between freehand and polyganal when Steve draws the selection in Quickmask. _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |
