Photoshop CS again ?
When using the dodge tool I have noticed that the opacity setting that had resided in the bar underneath the main menu titles has disappeared ? Cannot seem to get it back up. It was sitting between the Brush size, the range and exposure. Anyone know why or how I get it back up? Thanks ![]() _________________ ... Re: Photoshop CS again ?
I don't know what you mean by having Opacity for the Dodge Tool the strength of its effect is controlled by its Exposure. The Dodge and Burn are based upon darkroom techniques whereby the amount of light falling on the photographic paper is masked either by a dodge tool usually an opaque piece of round card attached to a wire handle and burning in detail is done by masking off the paper usually with a large card with an hole in it - Opacity doesn't come into it. If the entire Options bar is missing select Options from the Windows menu? If it's unticked the Options bar will be hidden. _________________ mad as a badger and twice as furry |

Yeah I have that ticked. Exposure, Range and Brush size are all displayed. Its really weird as I have not changed the settings yet Opacity just seems to have gone ?? ![]() _________________ Eagles may soar high, but weasels dont get sucked into Jet engines. David Brent -The Office |

Like I said there isn't suppose to be Opacity for the Dodge or Burn Tools - unless there is something missing from my CS. _________________ mad as a badger and twice as furry |

You are correct Maiden. You may select Shadows, midtones, highlights, and the only adjustable is EXPOSURE. |
