Watercolor text effect in photoshop
Hi, I am working on a project where I need to recreate a watercolor effect with some letters. I have been searching on the internet to find information to help me figure out how to do this. But no luck so far. I have been using Photoshop for some time now, and I just recently got a copy of Photoshop CS2. I know that Photoshop has a watercolor filter, but it is just not producing the effect I am looking for. Take a look at the attached file, this is look I am trying to recreate. Also does anybody know of a website that might have a tutorial that tells how to produce this kind of watercolor effect? ![]() |

Re: Watercolor text effect in photoshop
A quick attempt. ![]() I created the text and rasterized it and blurred it slightly with gaussian blur. I created a layer above that and used the cloud filter with the same foreground colour and white background to create a random texture. The layer was constrained to the text by creating a clipping group. I then set the blend mode of that layer to overlay. I created another layer above that, again used the Cloud filter but this time, inverted it (CTRL/CMD+I) and set its blend mode to luminosity. Finally, I used the smudge tool to spread some of the text layer. _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |
