Problems with the pen tool...
Hey everybody, I'm new to the form. Just thought I'd introduce myself. Anyway, I've been having a problem with the pen tool. Every time i use it, Photoshop attempts to fill the area inside the drawing. How can i turn off this annoying setting, so I just see the line I want to draw? Thanks, gloop5003 |

Hi gloop and welcome to the forum. The answer to your question is to click the path mode icon in the option toolbar (at the top) it's the middle icon - a square with with the pen tool icon in the centre. You're currently in shape layer mode. _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |

Re: Problems with the pen tool...
On page 14-15 of the third edition of HTCIP, some of the basic functions of the pen tool are shown. Is this using a path? Thanks, gloop5003 |

Yes. The pen tool (in whatever mode) uses bezier curves. The outline is known as the path. _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |
