Hi,again!Thanks,David,for your help with my last question,I have another.I just posted my very first entry in Steve's challenges.When I tried to get the actual picture in using image shack,all I got was the url to the uplod page,even tho' I copied the url to the hotlink for the picture.I went to Pixentral instead,and uploaded it and copied the link into the post.At least I got the link in,but I'd like to post the actual picture.How would I do that?Please help.Thanks!  _________________ Dogs have masters;Cats have staff. |

Hi Raffy, The reason it didn't show up is because of the way the image host works. The link is not to the image but to the page that displays it. I've sorted it this time - right click on the image and use copy image address (or whatever your browser's equivalent is). Then use the following in the message  . Relplace everything after the 2 forward slashes with the address you copied.
You can, of course upload the image as an attachment. Use Save for Web in Photoshop/Elements. Make sure it's less than 100Kb in size and the dimensions are no more than 600 pixels along the longest edge. Click the attachment link to the left of the message box and then use the button to browse for the file.

Thanks,David!I'll try to get it right next time! How do you delete a message?I wrote one in the challenge thread asking for help,then saw that my picture was reposted,and tried to delete the SOS,but no go.How do I do that? _________________ Dogs have masters;Cats have staff. |

Help again!Picture has disappeared
Hi,David!Sorry to bother you again.The picture was replaced by a yellow icon from pixentral that said hotlink,and had a red circle with a line through it.It wouldn't open to the picture itself.I replaced it with a llink to imageshack.I tried to replace with the image from my own files,but no go.I got the message that I couldn't upload twice.That's fine,but is it possible to replace the link with the original image? Thanks.Sorry to be such a bother right at the start!Once I get the hang of it,I'll be OK.
