Third Edition, pg. 75 - Case Study icon
I first noticed this icon on page 75, but after a quick scan of the book, I was unable to find a formal explanation of this icon. |

The case study icon denotes that the tutorial was derived from a problem Steve had to tackle for a commission. _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |

Re: Third Edition, pg. 75 - Case Study icon
I use it mainly when the illustration features images of people that I'm not able to include on the CD for copyright reasons. But I also use it, in cases such as this one, to show that the subject is the workings of an illustration that was commissioned. Most of the tutorials in the book include images that have been devised to show a specific problem or solution. The Case Study images may take in several different techniques, and they're there to show the range of problems a single job might pose. |
