Preserving Removed Background
After removing a background from an image, I sometimes get a white background when trying to copy an image into another. What is the best way to go about removing a background and saving it for future use without getting a white backgroud? Can it still be saved as a JPEG or PNG file or would it be best to save as a .PSD? I'm going to use my "newbie" status as long as I can get away with it! You'd have to save it as a .tif or .psd to retain the layer structure as .jpgs and .pngs will only save a flat image. JPEG2000 can save alpha channels, if you save the selection data. Saying that, if the extraction is performed with a path, it will be saved in standard JPEGs and thus can be used again (see Steve's time-saving chapter). _________________ A happy-go-lucky chap, always dressed in black |
